this n that

Using embossing past, stencil, stamping and a butterfly die. Trying the
nail polish technique inspired by Bonny which my butterfly
was die cut from.
I only had two colours so it turned out a little dull but a rather
different and interesting technique. [Lots of ventilation needed]
Tangerine memento ink pad was used for my stamps.

This is a great challenge blog to learn new techniques from
the lovely DT, always inspiring. Thank you..

roll on summer

More new stamps from Rubber Dance, thanks Dot,
for posting so promptly.  [These stamps can be
purchased here in Australia at Ink Art Designs.]
I am using Retro Beach.
While waiting for my stamps to arrive, I decided to
challenge myself with a few beach scenes.
Acrylic paints onto canvas was my first time to play.
The Result:

After stamping with black versafine ink, I then clear embossed
and gave it a shot with the heat gun.
Thanks Karen for this idea.
The canvas soaks up the ink.

Also, sharing a mixed media creation but this time onto glossy
card stock. [not for the challenge]. Using mixed media paste,
stencils and TH distress inks.

"I DO"

June is WEDDING Month (Anything Wedding)
and we, team Darlene, have chosen
this beautiful mood board to help
you along with our theme...

My card was all basically cut on the silhouette cameo
using a template I purchased ©Tina Finch. Using our mood board as well.
Very fiddly to put together but the end result is one I am happy with.
Now to find someone who needs a wedding card..
The sentiment is computer generated.
The couple is a Marianne Die.

Our ladies are always so generous with their prizes and
this is the one for this challenge.

What wedding card will you create?
We, the DT, always just love browsing through your blogs for
your entries to our challenge, so  keep them coming.

floral trumpet

Over at House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge  the new challenge
is up and running and this is a mid-way reminder.

The theme for our challenge this time is...>
Anything Goes with the option of
[moving element, pull tab, pop up etc].

I have designed my card using the rotating center piece.
I have added the link at the end of the post.
Here are several shots of the card.

So, as you can see, the center die piece twirls around..
Fun and easy to make.

My Guest Design card is made using a House Mouse stamp called
Floral Trumpet
Coloured with copic markers.
My flowers were made
using Flowering Dogwood stamps from Heartfelt Creations.
